Tiziano Amato
Tiziano Amato was born in Trapani, Italy. In 1990 he graduated from the piano department of the V. Bellini Conservatory in Palermo under the guidance of Vincenzo Mannino. In 2012 he moved to Russia and studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg as an assistant in the class of Pavel Egorov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation. In 2018/2019 he gave master classes at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, the Bolshoi Theatre and some music schools in Moscow.
From 2014 to 2017 he was President of the Aldo Ciccolini Cultural Association in Palermo. In 2016 he founded the International Centre for Cultural and Musical Projects 'Bridges' in St. Petersburg, of which he is still president. From 2014 to 2020, in collaboration with the Italian Consulate General in St. Petersburg, he organised many musical events and festivals in Russia and Italy, often performing as concertmaster with Sonia Ganassi (soprano) and Olga Kondina (soprano), as well as with Valentina Shitikova - Amato (mezzo-soprano). Tiziano Amato is a member of the jury of many international competitions.
As a pianist he performs in Italy and Russia, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. In 2021 he has been invited as concertmaster of the chamber vocal class at the Conservatory A. Scarlatti in Palermo. Scarlatti in Palermo. Since 2022 Tiziano Amato has been a piano teacher at the Lycée Musicale Vito Fazio Allmayer in Alcamo.
