Dimitris Regginos – Classical Guitarist

Dimitris Regginos has been performing since 1996, giving concerts across Europe and Japan. He has won prestigious international competitions, including first prizes in Greece (1990), the Czech Republic (1996), and Japan (1997). As a soloist, he has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Russian State Academic Chamber Orchestra, the Ural Symphony Orchestra, and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.

A sought-after performer and educator, he frequently gives masterclasses at international festivals in Moscow, Tokyo, Belgrade, and beyond. His repertoire spans from Renaissance to contemporary works, including premieres of compositions written for him. He has released four CDs, showcasing his versatility in solo and chamber music.

Dimitris Regginos earned his higher music education at the Gnessin’s Russian Academy of Music in Moscow under the guidance of Alexander Frauchi, graduating in 1994 with a Master of Fine Arts.


Beyond performing, he has significantly contributed to classical guitar education in Cyprus. As President of the European Guitar Teachers Association (EGTA-Cyprus), he established the annual EGTA-Cyprus International Guitar Festival and Competition. He is also actively involved in organizing festivals and supporting young guitarists.
